097 - Legal Tips for Online Businesses with Heather Pearce
For content creators, coaches, writers or similar service-based businesses, Intellectual Property protection is, more often than not, neglected or they probably do not have first-hand information of its importance. Intellectual Property is your business and you need to protect it!
The second piece that is highly important is Privacy Policy and from what Heather Pearce Campbellhttps://legalwebsitewarrior.com/ said, the guest of Gert in this episode, you cannot have a business and be online without it in place. Heather is the founder of Pearce Law PLLC and she helps entrepreneurs protect their brands and provide legal support and legal information.
- This is an eye-opener episode for business owners not to neglect this very important step in their business - having that protection in place at the very start.
00:41 Welcome to the episode and introduction of the guest
02:19 What was Heather’s most challenging case she has worked on?
05:41 Why can’t you not expect that people won’t have the same standard as you do? …What is the root cause of some business owner’s legal challenges?
What I would emphasize today
Search has moved beyond one channel. Google still matters, but your buyers also use AI answers, YouTube, Reddit, reviews, communities, and comparison content before they decide.
That means the practical question is not just “does this rank?” The better question is: does this help the right buyer find enough proof to trust us?
How to apply this now
- Diagnose the actual visibility gap.
- Check whether the buyer researches this topic on Google, AI tools, YouTube, Reddit, or another platform.
- Create the asset that answers the question clearly.
- Add proof, examples, and structure so both humans and AI systems can understand it.
- Measure whether the work leads to better qualified demand, not just more traffic.
My current take
The topic still matters, but the playbook has changed. SEO is no longer only about ranking a page. It is about being present with the right answer, on the right platform, at the moment the buyer is forming trust.
If you want to know where your visibility gaps are now, start with a diagnostic call or the AI Readiness Check.
