It’s all about the context
By now, most ChatGPT users have learned one thing:
AI gets better with context:
A prompt “Write an article about accounting software” will lead to something that sounds like a decent text for somebody without industry knowledge.
However, a more advanced prompt with some context will lead to a much more accurate, informative text that, actually, will also bring new insights to the table.
As so often, input = output.
The more and better quality the input you feed the AI tools,
the better their output.
Like many other advanced users, I’ve come to prepare for myself some prompt templates that force me to always plug in enough context, facts, customer stories, practical examples, and new information BEFORE I ask an AI tool to produce content.
When I help clients automate their content generation, creating such a prompt template is usually the first step.
Content generation with context, as a result, might follow the following steps:
Find the prompt template in your storage (Google Docs, Notion, TXT file, Spreadsheet)
Copy the prompt into your AI tool’s text panel
Fill in the different sections with researched, quality content
Send the filled-in prompt, so the language model can do its magic
Now, revise the output and tweak with additional prompts if necessary
Manually edit to make the piece of content “your own”.
